Information, Support and Fellowship for Groundwater Professionals
The Colorado Groundwater Association is a nonprofit organization made up of scientists, engineers, contractors, water lawyers, students and water administrators. CGWA members are active in the wide variety of fields relating to groundwater in Colorado.
The purpose of CGWA is to advance the understanding of groundwater hydrology among its membership and the residents of Colorado. CGWA organizes monthly speaker presentations, field trips, community volunteer opportunities, social/networking events and publishes a quarterly newsletter. We are committed to facilitating the wise use of the State's groundwater resources by providing a forum to examine the scientific, technical and policy-making issues related to groundwater.
From its inception in 1981, CGWA has been a positive and proactive organization. Because of the voluntary efforts of its members, the Association has played an active role in shaping the use and protection of groundwater in Colorado. CGWA leverages the diverse areas of expertise of its members and expands the scope of the profession of groundwater hydrology often cooperating with other related organizations to sponsor conferences.
